Chef Epi @Chefepi – Seafood Restaurant (Kepiting Chef Epi) , located Jl. Ciumbuleuit No. 152 | SHEO Resort Hotel, Bandung. Before it moved to Sheo Hotel, many people already knew Chef Epi Restaurant since it was at Papaya Fresh Gallery Bandung.
We were served Papua Crab (Kepiting Papua) with Butter Sauce. And not like other seafood restaurant in Indonesia, instead of rice, we had 2pcs of fried mantou (White Chinese bun/bread) as an accompaniement to enjoy the crab. Yup, exactly the same as the famous Singapore chili crab that is served with fried mantou.
Of course you can order steamed mantou too if you like, but I prefer this fried version on mantou.
The serving plating quite ‘instagenic’ for your instagram gallery too ;p
How about the taste? I like the mixed sensation of crab meat, fried mantou and butter sauce. I can feel the savory dish, salty and sour are fused in my mouth 🙂 It’s a little bit salty if you eat it without the mantou, and 2pcs is not enough for me, so I ordered extra mantou to enjoy this butter crab 😀
And extra lime, red onion, and garlic were available on your plate too.
